Oh, I Want You to Have It All, All You Can Imagine
“Oh, I want you to have it all, all you can imagine” – an excerpt from the song Have It All by Jason Mraz
Yesterday, I wrote about living in the moment and how that helps to increase gratitude. But as humans, I don’t think living solely in the moment is in our nature. We constantly think about what happened in the past, and use that to manifest a better future.
Manifestation. I think that’s what this verse and tomorrow’s verse is all about. Thankfully, people are now a lot more aware of what that word means compared to 6 years ago. I literally just watched a YouTube video of a presidential candidate and a neurosurgeon discussing manifestation! What an exciting world we’re living in!!
I think there are two main things we need for manifestation. Imagination and faith. Today, let’s look at imagination.
Imagination is so important. You can’t have a goal if you can’t imagine it. By imagining a new future, you create a new possibility. I like to think of it as actively creating a possible world.
Imagination allows you to remove mental limitations that you or the society at large placed on yourself. These limitations tries to keep you stuck in the status quo. But with a little imagination, the future has more possible branches, and you get to choose which branch you want to pursue.
So don’t be afraid to dream, and dream big! The more you imagine, the more choices you give yourself.
