This is one message that I really want to get through to my son right now, who is facing a huge transition, graduating from high school. I know that times like these can really bring up some insecurities. With a wide open future with absolutely no concrete answers yet, you can very easily start doubting yourself. Having too many options in front of you can bring up the fear of making a wrong choice.
Well, here’s what I know with absolute certainty. Every decision you make is an educated guess, but every decision you make is also the correct one. Every decision that you’ve ever made was the correct one for you in that moment. You can’t ever make a wrong decision because you have the capacity to learn from every outcome. What might seem like a mistake to you is just a stepping stone in disguise.
I don’t want you to just hope that your educated guesses are correct. I want you to have faith that your educated guesses are always correct. Because they always are. Because YOU hold the ability to turn any decision into the right one. Always.
